Sorry that I haven't been blogging! We are trying to eat healthier by eating out less and save some money while at it. After a day of waiting in doctor offices and being poked by needles, we both needed some comfort food - so you will see there's nothing healthy about what we ordered this time. LOL

Right across street from the doctor is the Cheesecake Factory. The last time we were here was over a year ago and I've missed their cheesecakes! Huge portions and fairly priced food, large menu selection that ranges from Asian to Creole to salads, sandwiches, burgers, pastas, pizzas...etc. Everyone can find something that they want on their menu.

For appetizers we ordered:
Chicken Croquettes $5.50

The inside of the chicken croquettes

Shrimp and Grits - $6.95
Both appetizers were really tasty.

Chicken Croquettes: Filled with Creamy Fontina and Fried Crisp.
The texture caught me by surprise. It's like you take chicken salad or mushed up chicken and deep-fried it into a ball. And it tastes just like a chicken salad. Still very tasty but just a tiny bit salty for my taste buds.

The Shrimp & GritsSweet Corn-White Cheddar Grits, Covered with Sauteed Shrimp and Spicy Tasso Sauce. I've never been a fan of grits and I've definately have never tried it this way. Adding creamed corn in the grits and make it savory dish is really delicious, this is one recipe I will definately be recreating in the future!

For our entrees:
Fish n Chips - $11.50

Tomato Basil Pasta - $13.50
Hubby has been craving Fish n Chips for a while, and since the next day is St. Patrick's Day, he went ahead and ordered it in honor of the holiday. There were 4 pieces of fish in there fried to perfection. Comes with chips, aka "fries" and a side of cole-slaw that tastes exactly like the famous KFC ones.

Tomato Basil Pasta Grilled Chicken, Fresh Mozzarella, a Touch of Garlic and Penne Pasta. Light and Fresh.

The pasta is huge! By the time our entrees have arrived there's no room for it already. But I still took couple bites and it tastes really good and had very strong garlic flavor. I could do with out the mozzarella though.

For Dessert -
Sorry we did not take pictures of the dessert beceause we were so full and had to get both of our entrees to go. But we did pick two cheesecakes to go. Afterall, you can't come to Cheesecake Factory without trying one of their delicous desserts!  Below are photos from the Cheesake Factory's site to give you an idea of the cakes.

We got the Lemoncello Cream Torte - Layers of Vanilla Cake and Lemon Mascarpone Cream Topped with Streusel and Served with Strawberries and Whipped Cream.   $6.95 for a slice.
This one is not a cheesecake and I've been on a lemon kick lately, maybe it's already 80 degrees in Las Vegas, I want something refreshing for my taste buds, so I got this fluffy cake so it won't be too rich.

Fresh Banana Cream Cheesecake - Banana Cream Cheesecake Topped with Bavarian Cream and Fresh Sliced Bananas $7.50 for a slice.

OH MY GOD this has to my favorite cheesecake I've tried by far! If you love banana cream pie, you will love this one! This tastes exactly like the pie and has a hint of cream cheese, yet it's still light and fluffy, not too dense so you don't feel like it's too rich. I really could eat a whole 10-in by myself if given the chance. It's how good this one is! Don't be fooled by the look of this plain cheesecake, it's a hidden gem for sure!

Our total with hubby's beer, with tax comes to $64.75. We had plenty of leftovers for dinner, it was a great meal! We left the place with satisified tummies.
